Asos

Etailer Asos originally launched in 2000 as “As Seen on Screen”, after it started out selling imitations of famous on-screen fashion items. The business now stocks over 850 fashion brands, as well as 13 own-brand labels including Asos Design and Asos Luxe. In 2021, Asos acquired Topshop and Topman from Arcadia Group as the brands plunged into administration amid the pandemic. Asos is in the midst of a turnaround plan which was launched in 2022, part of which is its new “Test and React” model, which entails purchasing less stock and reducing options for consumers.
