Balenciaga

Founded by Spanish fashion designer Cristobal Balenciaga in 1919, luxury fashion house Balenciaga is known for its monochromatic colour palette and high fashion design. Balenciaga is known best for creating couture and luxury ready–to–wear. It was bought by French luxury group Kering in 2001 and its headquarters are in Paris. Former creative director Demna Gvasalia was at the helm of the brand for a decade, from 2015 to 2025. In September 2022, it branched out into resale, and joined forces with resale service provider Reflaunt, which allows Balenciaga customers to resell the luxury house’s clothing, shoes and accessories, including handbags and sunglasses.
