Balmain
French luxury house Balmain was founded by couturier Pierre Balmain in 1945. Today it makes clothing, accessories, shoes and beauty products, and is known for partnerships with celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez, and collaborations with high street retailers H&M and Victoria’s Secret. French fashion designer Olivier Rousteing took over as creative director in 2011 at the age of 25. Qatari company Mayhoola for Investments bought Balmain for €485m (£408m) in 2016. The brand has more than 50 stores worldwide, including a primary flagship store in Paris, and others in Tokyo, New York City, London and Milan.
