Dr Martens
Dr Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, was founded in 1947 and its headquarters are in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. It has become globally recognised for its distinctive footwear, such as Chelsea and platform boots, loafers and Mary Jane shoes, as well as clothing, symbolising youth culture and rebellion. Initially popularised in the 1960s, the brand has expanded worldwide to more than 200 stores in locations including the UK, US, Tokyo, Germany and Italy. Notable milestones include collaborations with fashion brands and designers such as Marc Jacobs in 2020 for the 1460 remastered colabration, and again in 2023 for the Jadon boot. In 2025, Dr Martens global creative director Darren McKoy exited the British footwear brand and manufacturer after 10 years.
