Fenwick
Founded in 1882 by John James Fenwick in Newcastle upon Tyne, Fenwick expanded to London’s Bond Street in 1891 and grew into a leading independent department store group. At its peak, Fenwick operated 11 stores across the UK, offering premium fashion, beauty and homeware. Remaining family-owned throughout its history, Fenwick began restructuring in 2017, selling its Bond Street flagship and closing several regional locations. As of 2024, the company operated six stores, with Newcastle as its flagship. Ownership remains with the Fenwick family.
