Drapers - Independents: send us your Christmas window displays

Drapers is inviting fashion independents in the UK and Ireland to show off their visual merchandising skills in our annual Christmas windows competition.

The winner will be featured in the January 2026 edition of Drapers.

  • To take part in this year’s competition, email drapers@emap.com with at least three clear photos of the windows from different angles, as well as the name and location of the shop by 23:59 on Thursday 18 December.

Last year’s winner was fashion boutique Golden Boot in Maidstone, Kent, which stole the hearts of the Drapers team with Western-inspired rocking horse seasonal display for its children’s footwear department.

Celebrating its 235th year in trading, Golden Boot partnered with the Stevenson Brothers, which has manufactured rocking horses in Kent since 1982, to create a white rocking horse that was featured among children’s Wellington boots and trainers.

The runner-up title of highly commended went to womenswear boutique Itsy Bitsy, based in Chapel-en-le-Frith in the Peak District, which submitted postcard-like images of its window displays, featuring a vintage bicycle and animal figurines.

Framed by bauble-filled Christmas wreaths, the bicycle was inspired by the challenging retail landscape of 2024, which Itsy Bitsy team described to Drapers as “like riding a bike, a journey with both uphill climbs and joyful coasts, a mix of resilience and gratitude for all who support us”.

To take part in this year’s competition, email drapers@emap.com with at least three clear, high-resolution photos of the windows from different angles, as well as the name and location of the shop by 23:59 on Thursday 18 December.
