Being held at Excel London 7-9 July the trade show is set to host 40-45 UK businesses and manufacturers.<\/p>\n

The manufacturers include Knitster, a knitwear specialist that focuses on design-driven production; LaundRE, which provides low-impact finishing and laundry solutions for garments; and LLUK, a manufacturing partner that helps brands with scalable and comprehensive UK production.<\/p>\n

KC Manufacturing, which focuses on sustainable strategies and private label collections, and The T-shirt Factory, which remanufactures deadstock into new garments are also some of the manufacturers. In the coming weeks additional manufacturers will be announced.<\/p>\n

Suzanne Ellingham, event director at Source Fashion, said: \u201cWe have a truly global show floor, reflecting the reality of where our visitors source from, and are looking to source from.<\/p>\n

\u201cReflecting the incredibly tough trading conditions within British Manufacturing, the rate of factory closures we are seeing, and over 71,000 jobs have been lost in UK fashion and textile manufacturing in the last 6 years, I decided last year that we were going to step into the void and do our best to support domestic UK manufacturers.<\/p>\n

“Importantly, it reflects the interests of our buying community who are looking to build resilience into their supply chain and sourcing mix, and we have seen a genuine move towards buyers and international buyers, attending the show to connect with British Manufacturers, so we know the demand is there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show comes at a time of a turning point in the industry, as brands focus on reorganising their supply chain and attaining more oversight in production.<\/p>\n

Source Fashion had relocated its trade show from its former venue of London\u2019s Kensington Olympia to the Excel, for the upcoming show. The trade show had said this marks<\/a> a \u201cnew phase of growth.\u201d<\/p>\n
