At the time of its collapse <\/a>and subsequent acquisition by Next<\/a>, Russell & Bromley<\/a> had 440 staff members across stores, distribution centre in Corby, Northamptonshire and head office.<\/p>\n

A total of 400 jobs were initially at risk<\/a> at the footwear specialist, after it was confirmed that 40 roles had been transferred to Next<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Next’s \u00a32.5m cash pre-pack administration deal<\/a> included the Russell & Bromley brand, other intellectual property (IP) and three of its stores.<\/p>\n

The final closures of the footwear retailer’s 33 stores and nine concessions not acquired by Next<\/a> completed last week (23 April), as revealed<\/a> by Drapers.<\/p>\n

Russell & Bromley’s imminently closing store estate had a total number of 320 employees, some of which are understood to have resigned prior to being made redundant.<\/p>\n

Russell & Bromley\u2019s joint administrators, Interpath\u2019s Will Wright and Chris Pole, told Drapers: “The joint administrators and their team are engaging closely with all affected staff and will be providing support throughout the process, including assisting individuals in submitting claims to the redundancy payments service.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
