Kering
Kering was founded in 1962 by François Pinault as a timber trading company, and evolved into retail conglomerate Pinault-Printemps–Redoute (PPR) in 1994. The group shifted focus to luxury by acquiring Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent in 1999, followed by Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen in 2001. Rebranded as Kering in 2013, it now owns Saint Laurent, Boucheron and Creed. In 2023, Kering Bought a 30% stake in Valentino and launched Kering Beauté to develop in-house beauty products. As of 2024, Kering operated 1,813 stores worldwide, employed 47,000 people and reported €17.2bn (£15.01bn) in revenue.
