Kurt Geiger
Kurt Geiger was founded in 1963 on London’s Bond Street, is a British footwear and accessories brand known for its labels Kurt Geiger London, KG Kurt Geiger, and Carvela. In 2015, private equity firm Cinven acquired the company for £245m. Under CEO Neil Clifford, who has led since 2003, the brand expanded internationally, notably in the US, where sales grew from £10m to £140m over four years. By February 2024, revenues reached £360m, and handbags became the top-selling category. The company operates more than 80 standalone stores and concessions in department stores such as Harrods and Selfridges. In 2025, Steve Madden bought Kurt Geiger for £289m. The brand operates the Business by Design academy, offering training to young people under-represented in the creative industries, and it launched the Kindness Foundation in 2022, dedicating 5% of profits to youth training.
