Me & Em was founded by former advertising executive Clare Hornby in 2009, who is still CEO, and sells clothing, accessories and footwear direct to consumers online and in over 10 stores. The brand has been worn by the Princess of Wales and actress Daisy Edgar Jones. It describes its clothing as “investment pieces” and encourages conscious consumption through high–quality materials and by paying its workers a “living wage”.
