Ahead of speaking at Drapers Conscious Fashion Summit, Mulberry head of group sustainability Rosie Wollacott shares how she is embedding the Made to Last manifesto across the heritage brand and driving progress towards a more circular fashion business.
Mulberry
British premium handbag and accessories brand Mulberry is recognised by its famous tree logo, which was originally designed by founder Roger Saul’s sister. He developed the brand in 1971 in Somerset, south-west England, where his first designs included leather belts. Further accessories including handbags and a womenswear line followed soon after in 1979. Despite its heritage, Mulberry has faced the pressures of changing consumer habits and has made double-digit losses in recent years. But this has not stopped the brand moving forward and in September 2024 it achieved B Corp status.
