Shoe Zone was founded in 1917 in Leicester, and is a listed budget footwear retailer with more than 200 stores and around 2,250 employees as of early 2025. Its range spans branded and own‑label shoes for men, women and children. The company posted £161m revenue in the year to September 2024, down 2.7%, and profit before tax fell to £10m adjusted, from £16.5m year ago. It closed 31 stores in 2024/25 and downgraded full‑year profit guidance to £5m.
