Versace
Founded in Milan in 1978 by Gianni Versace, Versace is an Italian luxury fashion house known for its bold designs across haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear. It has around 200 stores globally. It was bought by Capri Holdings in 2018, and then sold to Prada in April 2025 for $1.4bn (£1.02bn). Versace has raised $287m (£210m) in funding with backing from Blackstone Group. In 2025, Dario Vitale was appointed creative director, replacing Donatella Versace, who became chief brand ambassador.
