Vinted

Vinted is a peer-to-peer online marketplace for second-hand fashion, offering clothing, accessories and lifestyle items. It was founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2008, it operates in 20 countries, and is mobile first and community driven. It has more than 1,200 employees and is backed by investors including Accel, Insight Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners. It raised $872m (£639m) and reached a $5.45bn (£3.99bn) valuation as of late 2024. Key milestones include expansion across Europe and strategic acquisitions such as Trendsales. Vinted remains privately owned and is led by CEO Thomas Plantenga.
